Knowledge Experiences
Creating positive social change and growing new leaders.
DKA connects people and knowledges. We understand the importance of the knowledge that exists in remote and regional Australia and that we have a role in collecting, curating and sharing that knowledge. We live and work across languages and cultures and use that experience as the foundation of our work. The desert knowledge network is made up of ancient and enduring Aboriginal knowledges alongside contemporary and emerging research, science and technology. Through intertwining old and new knowledges, both are enriched and strengthened.
Through DKA’s work in desert leadership, we
- Connect people and opportunities
- Empower existing, emerging and potential Aboriginal leaders
- Support Aboriginal enterprise and employment
- Develop strong governance and organisational practices
- Help implement strategies and solutions
- Develop and strengthen protocols around working with Aboriginal people and businesses
- Connect with the people and businesses of Central Australia
